Beach Care Project is an innovative programme developed to protect the environment and the biodiversity of the beach ecosystem. The project includes cleaning and ecological maintenance of the beaches, scholarships and education and awareness initiatives in collaboration with first-rate academic and scientific institutions such as the Italian Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche (CNR) and the French Comité National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS) .
This journey started in 2020 with the participation in the Italian TV documentary "La Natura che parla” (Nature Speaks), focusing on the cleaning of the beach in Rovigliano (Campania, Italy), which is the mouth of the Sarno river, notorius for being the most polluted across Europe.
In 2021 the project further expanded, taking care of several beaches between Italy and France.
CNH Industrial and its brand CASE Construction Equipment are developing this project which well represents the Group's values and commitment, such as supporting local communities and raise environment awareness. Some real examples of this commitment are the return of beaches to citizens and the recycling of collected waste, making Beach Care Project a model of circular economy too.
